New Releases
Always There For You by Halli Starling
A new town, a new start, and finally opening the wine store of her dreams. Amelia has picked the small town of Breakwater to be her new home, and her new beginning. Even as her chronic pain sometimes gets in her way, she won't let anything keep her wine store and tasting room from opening.
And now that her best friend Hadley is with her, everything is perfect.
What Amelia won't speak aloud is how much she adores and cares for Hadley -- how much she truly loves the woman she's known since they were kids inspecting bugs and reading together in one of their backyards.
Hadley thinks the town of Breakwater is the perfect spot for Amelia and her new lease on life. And she's thinking about settling down herself, after years of traveling around the world and taking on odd jobs and having flings with beautiful women. But she always, always comes back to Amelia and now is her chance to tell her best friend exactly how much she cares.
It's hard to be brave, especially when it comes to affairs of the heart. But together, they can weather the storm and find what they've always been searching for.
Soul of Glass and Fire (Soul Erosion Book 2) by Arianne Nicks
The second book in the Soul Erosion series brings answers to the most ardent questions from its prequel, Soul of Light and Thunder. But new mysteries arise.
In the chaos of the tournament’s last battle, Sophie loses her half of the mirror when her worst enemy, Raiden, relocates them both to an unknown place.
Sophie discovers a reality-altering letter that only Raiden can explain. And next to his unconscious body is the other half of the mirror.
To find out the truth, Sophie needs to heal her rival. But what terrifies her more than bringing to life the man she fears most, is the possibility of his letter being genuine.
Sophie’s world is wavering. She has either loved and hated the wrong people, or she will be dead as soon as Raiden wakes up.
Bloodlust (Apocalypse Book 7) by Hayley Anderton and Laura Swift
There's trouble in the waters at the farm and The Fortress. With two young tyrants putting fear in the hearts of the survivors, they must quickly try and find solutions to save their friends. All the while, the dead are closing in, but they aren't the only ones thirsting for blood any longer...
Humans will become monsters.
Lives will go up in flames.
The apocalypse is getting red hot.
The Festival (Sixpenny Bissett Book 3) by Caroline Rebisz
Bernie Beard, world famous rock star, moves into the village to escape his busy life touring with his band, The Dragons. Bernie is determined to reinvent himself as a country gentleman and the new leader of this tight-knit community. Is Sixpenny Bissett ready for such a huge rock star in their midst? Bernie’s bombastic character and complicated love life will spice up the sleepy hamlet.
Joining forces with Richard Samuels, Bernie devises a plan to hold a music festival and village fair on the grounds of The Manor House. Will the community come together behind their ideas to raise money for a new cricket clubhouse or will this be a step too far for the village, where time has stood still for so long?
The previous newcomer to Sixpenny Bissett, Jenni Sullivan, is building her place in the community as the café business goes from strength to strength. She has found love with local boatbuilder, Richard. However, the course of true love does not always run smoothly. Can Jenni and Richard find true love or will the past ruin their happiness? Having a ready-made family, with Jimmy and his daughter, Lily, sharing the house, will add to the pressures. Not forgetting, a very jealous cat.

Book Review
Sunlight Stripping Shadows Bare by Amy B Garratt, reviewed by N S Ford
This is a brutally honest, soul-searching collection of poems which deal with relationships, mental health and self-esteem. The variety of styles is impressive. Some of the poems are written in a prose style, almost stream of consciousness, while others are more traditional and include rhymes. Most are very short but have a strong impact. The imagery in particular is very compelling. Although the punctuation and grammar are not exactly perfect, poets can get away with this more than novelists can. In summary, this is a collection that many readers will be able to relate to.
