New Releases
Under Far Galaxian Skies (Inner Universe Book 4) by Natalie Kelda
Balfour has committed the ultimate crime: the murder of his sister’s boyfriend. It doesn’t matter that it was accidental.
Sentenced to working as ship labourer, Balfour is convinced he deserves it when he's captured by pirates and forced to a distant galaxy. He barely escapes enslavement, fleeing into a city more deadly than anything he’s ever known.
Venomous reptiles hunt him. Iron-fisted tarilla chiefs are on the brink of war.
Balfour must adapt quickly or prepare for a slow, torturous death in the hands of people more bloodthirsty than the Star-Eaters of old.
But the biggest threat is his lingering self-loathing. If he can't fight through it, nothing else will matter — because he won’t live long enough to see it.
Under Far Galaxian Skies is the first in a trilogy that can be read on its own or as a continuation of the first 3 books in the Inner Universe Series.
So You Want To Be A Witch (Enlil & Aris Book 5) by Rebecca Crunden
While Enlil spends the summer giving Lucy magic lessons, and Fain plans the party of the century at his castle, Aris finds himself drawn back into Aaron and Jessica’s orbit when the pair go to a fortune teller seeking answers about the past.
Suffer for Art: A Narrative Poem by Sophie Bowns
‘Nathan clutched the neck of his guitar,
Strummed the chords he knew by heart.
Frowned, and hesitated. That sounded lame.
Well mate, you’ve only got yourself to blame.’
Nathan has been failing as a singer-songwriter for as long as he can remember. When Caleb, an influencer films him one rainy day and posts it online, Nathan goes viral. But what are Caleb’s intentions?

Book Review
Among Thorns and Stardust: A Sci-Fi Fairytale Anthology by Various Authors, reviewed by N S Ford
A fabulous read, ideal if you like fairytale retellings and science fiction! There are seven stories in this book and all are ingenious takes on well-known tales, with added robots, bounty hunters, spaceships, holograms and more. My favourites were ‘Into the Arms of Morpheus’ by Amy Johnson and ‘Skyscraper’ by Hayley Anderton, but I enjoyed all of the stories and was impressed by their creative interpretations. They are not just the fairytales transposed to futuristic settings, they update the stereotypical damsel in distress and make her a strong character responsible for her own destiny. I would definitely recommend this book!
