John, 41, settles in Leicester after his divorce, with hopes of becoming the best version of himself as he builds a new life.
He makes friends, starts doing yoga, and joins an RPG campaign.
Only one day, he realises he might just have fallen in love with his best friend. Oops.
After kissing Stu at a wedding, John runs away, convinced he's ruined things. Only when he finds out that all their friends had suspected he and Stu might have been attracted to each other, he wonders if there's actually a chance for him to fix things...
Will they manage to properly communicate and sort themselves out?
In this slow paced tale of falling in love over time, follow these characters on their journey to self discovery and acceptance, and found family.
This is a story about love in all its forms: friendship, romantic, the family we are born with, and the one we end up choosing.
The Wolf and the Favour by Catherine McCarthy
Ten-year-old Hannah has Down syndrome and oodles of courage, but should she trust the alluring tree creature who smells of Mamma’s perfume or the blue-eyed wolf who warns her not to enter the woods under any circumstance?
The Wolf and the Favour is a tale of love, trust, and courage. A tale that champions the neurodivergent voice and proves the true power of a person’s strength lies within themselves.

But what really happened all those years ago before Gracie went missing?
Why did she leave in the first place?
History has a nasty little habit of repeating itself...
Cold Rising: A Cold Rush Novella by Rohan O’Duill
After a job gone wrong, Special Agent Olgo is trapped within the bowels of Mars with no means of escape. The device that imprisons the trauma within them is about to fail, and the past terrors kept hidden by it must be contained for Olgo’s sanity and everyone's safety.
From the darkness comes a tiny voice, and a tinier hope: "Hello?"
The first book in the ‘Cold Rush' Verse follows Agent Olgo as their corporate masters give them what could be their big break: a mission to Mars.
But trying to change the working conditions in the planet's underground cities proves more challenging than the agent could have imagined. When a wearable device Olgo uses to block emotions fails, an unlikely friendship changes everything as Olgo struggles to prevent spilling more blood on the Red Planet.

Fair Haven by Wendy Palmer, release date November 4th
Stronghold Fair Haven by the Sea is a beacon in a sometimes harsh world, open to all and deliberately, stubbornly kind. It also holds the honour and responsibility of hosting an atelier, a workshop for the rare and highly-prized magical engineers known as Mancers.
Hazel lives a comfortable, contented life in Stronghold Haven as a member of the team of elite bodyguards protecting the resident Mancer. But when another Mancer comes knocking on Haven's door to plead for refuge from the stronghold zhey've just escaped from, zhey bring a growing threat of invasion in zheir wake.
Ash is disruptive to Hazel's peaceful routine in more ways than just that: to his own astonishment, he's hopelessly attracted to the prickly, secretive Mancer.
This might be the start of something precious... or the end of everything he holds dear.

Book Review
Prompted, Issue 02 by Reedsy and various authors, reviewed by N S Ford
This second edition of short stories from the winners of Reedsy’s writing prompt competitions is an enjoyable quick read. For each story, we are told what the prompt was and it’s always interesting to discover how the winning entry responded to this idea. I liked how different the stories all were but that they were all thought-provoking and well-written. I’d recommend to anyone who’s looking for something a bit different and the book is currently free to download too. My favourite story in the collection was ‘Flour and Fire’ by Charlene Boyce.
