New Releases
The Age of Reckoning: Complete Edition by Thomas Anthony Lay
The world of Naeisus hangs on the fragile precipice of centuries of war and discord.
The five races–greed in their ravenous eyes–lust after six shards of immense power that, when combined, form the divine Yultah Crystal. With a pure heart and an impulsive attitude, King Areth III of Man embarks on a self-imposed journey to unite Naeisus as it once was. Seeing an opportunity for power, the chaotic captain of the Forsaken, Levana, pulls whatever puppet strings she can grab to turn the tide of the war in her favour.
Meanwhile, widespread tremors from an unknown source plague the land that could signal the return of the legendary Korkrenus… Or something colossal; a shadow of myth, altogether more terrifying than any of the denizens would believe...

Knotted Musings is a collection of fine poetry which strives to disabuse the minds of readers on a wide range of issues.

Finding Your Way by Eve Koguce
Zanda is seventeen. She is Latvian. She wants three things in life: to stay in her home country, date her boyfriend, and have a career. There is a problem with each of these things, though.
Zanda’s friends and even her family think that she should board a plane and depart to England the moment she graduates from school. Her boyfriend is intelligent and every mother’s dream, but he is Russian. She plans to study at the university but hates the thought of having to live on the ugly outskirts of the capital with her parents for four more years.
And then, there is Zanda’s love for the countryside. Witch’s Pond is a small, lovely town where her grandmother lives and where Zanda spends her summers.
Zanda feels torn between her equally ardent dreams about having a life in the capital and living in the countryside.
Meeting the infuriating and handsome nineteen-year-old Latvian guy Viestards, who like her has different views on how he should live his life, makes Zanda’s dilemmas even more complicated. However, Viestards’s dream to turn his land into a profitable venture is endangered. And it will take a lot of gumption to pursue this dream against all odds.
It is the summer of 2008, the last one before the global financial crisis. While for Latvia it promises to be a time of hardships and challenges, for Zanda’s family and for Viestards it might be a time of opportunities to change their lives.
Making of Elements: The Collector’s Offer by Joseph Doliczny
The world has been ravaged by a deadly curse. The last true kingdom is on the brink of existence. Can a band of misfits find a cure before all is lost? Embark on an epic adventure with the fantasy novel Making of Elements. Follow the dark twists and turns as the characters fight for their survival. A once-great union of kingdoms is no more, with the last of the leaders looking to wage war. King Vidal clings to his position as he receives a message from The Collector, a madman who claims to have a cure. He sends his only son across the Borrowed Lands. Prince Zander must succeed if the kingdom is to survive, but also to save himself.
Others from Eldertude are dragged into the Prince’s quest. Erica and Kantra have seen first-hand what the curse can do. Although they despise their kingdom’s rulers, they must help the Prince in order to give their families hope. All the while, a sadistic cult alone in the desert tries to open the tomb of a demon. They believe they can harvest the power which first gave birth to the curse. If the tomb is open the world will be plunged into a new nightmare. Making of Elements is a gripping and immersive story. The first of the Borrowed Lands series.
About the author: Joseph is a disabled writer who lives in Bristol UK. For his book Making of Elements, Joseph draws on his own life experiences to create real conflict. Having developed a rare brain condition during his teenage years, much of the emotional impact on the characters are reflections of how he has felt. Joseph aims to reach out to people through his writing, whilst at the same time creating a world in which the reader can disappear in.

Book Review
Man in the Bath by Kit Derrick, reviewed by N S Ford
A thought-provoking and disturbing novel with a shocking conclusion. The narrative follows Dr David Dunne, an academic whose pixellated videos, of himself speaking on controversial topics while taking a bath, go viral and have sinister consequences. I would categorise it as a contemporary technological drama with an element of dystopia. None of the characters are likeable but that in itself is appealing because they’re more relateable. The story is also a warning about internet fame and how you can never predict what will happen to the content you upload.
